URGENT FIX: Gideon V5.5.6 Engine Patch (Dead Zone & Market Cycle Overhaul)

I hear you loud and clear. The initial rollout of V5.5.6 had a structural flaw during choppy market conditions. If you watched Gideon take a short and then immediately flip long ten seconds later, or fire trend setups underneath the 21 EMA, you aren't crazy. I saw it happen on my own charts, and it is unacceptable for an institutional-grade engine.

Here is exactly why it happened: The engine’s 30% Dead Zone was tracking the lagging 21 EMA instead of the actual closing price. When price dumped rapidly into the middle of the Value Area, the lagging EMA told the bot the coast was clear. Combined with a missing directional master guard, it allowed the algorithm to get chopped to pieces.

We just ripped the engine apart, gutted the localized loop, and applied three massive architectural fixes. The patched V5.5.6_STRICT_EMA_DIRECTION is live right now.

Here is what is running under the hood in the new build:

• Price-Anchored Dead Zone Lockout: The 30% Dead Zone now tracks the physical closing price of the candle, not the moving average. If price touches the middle 30% of your Value Area, Gideon instantly locks down and refuses to fire any contracts until momentum physically breaks out of the chop box.

• Contextual EMA Directional Guards: Trend trades (2nd Entries, Clean Air, Breakout Retests) are now mathematically forbidden from firing unless the signal candle strictly closes on the correct side of the 21 EMA (Longs must close above; Shorts must close below). Mean-reversion trades (Wifey Range Fades) have been completely decoupled so they can still buy VAL and sell VAH without restriction.

True Price Action Market Cycle Tracker: We deleted the arbitrary 10-bar lookback. Gideon is now a true Price Action state machine that tracks Leg 1, the trend break, and Leg 2. Your initial stop loss is now anchored to the exact extreme of the 2-legged pullback—meaning your 1R Step-Trail Engine is now calculating its risk tiers and trailing your profits based on true market structure, not a random guess.

Your Action Items:

1. Log in and download the updated V5.5.6_STRICT_EMA_DIRECTION file.
2. From Control Center go > Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly then Tools > Import NinjaTrader-Addon and choose Gideon-folder.
3. Run it on SIM. Verify the new visual hologram orders and watch how the engine now goes completely silent when price hits the middle 30% chop zone.

Drawdowns happen, but structural flaws are on me. The math is fixed, the engine is strictly guarded, and the Rule of Two is fully integrated.
