All blind breakouts and touch-fades have been eradicated. Gideon V5 is now a strict structural purist. It will only execute IOTS 2nd Entries or Wifey Sequences directly off the 21 EMA.

True Breakouts: Price must break the VAH/VAL and hold outside. Gideon waits for the 21 EMA to cross the boundary line, acting as the new floor/ceiling, before firing into open air.

EMA Confirmation Fades: If price tests the extreme and fails, Gideon no longer guesses. It waits for price to cross back over the 21 EMA before firing the setup back into the range.

🛑 The 30% "Dead Zone" Chop Filter

The middle of the range is where retail traders get chopped to pieces trying to force a setup that isn't there. V5 now calculates the exact mathematical center of your Value Area and builds a dynamic 15% wall above and below it.

If the 21 EMA is floating inside this 30% chop zone, Gideon completely disarms its execution engine. It sits on its hands until the market provides a real edge at the extremes.

🏦 Phase Target Overrides (Eval vs. ProFunded)

Your strategy should change based on your funding phase. Gideon V5 now features an automatic code-switch:

Evaluation Mode: Gideon operates as a conservative scalper, hunting base hits, locking in your consistency caps, and protecting your trailing drawdown.

ProFunded Mode: Once you have the drawdown buffer to let the market breathe, Gideon switches to a structural swing trader. Fades off the VAH will automatically target the exact opposite side of the Value Area (VAL) for massive structural runs.

🏃 The MNQ Volatility Runner Patch

We engineered a strict price-validation check into the Runner Engine to handle hyper-volatile intra-bar retracements. If an MNQ wick spikes up to hit your runner target but violently retraces before the candle closes, Gideon safely validates the current price to ensure your brackets are never compromised and the NinjaTrader engine never crashes.
